Our Story
Founded in 2018, Avid Crafts is the brain child of Abeygale and David. Abeygale has been stitching from a very young age, having grown up with two powerhouse stitchers in her life, her mum and Grandma. Abeygale started making clothes for her barbies, and then progressed into making and altering clothes for herself.
Abeygale has been seen many times on TV shopping channels, demonstrating sewing related products and fabrics for Crafters Companion and then launched her own business in October of 2018. Soon after, Avid Crafts debuted on HOCHANDA shopping channel and appeared over 100 times. Avid Crafts were soon snapped up by Create and Craft.
Following the national lockdown, where travelling to the TV studios was impossible, Abeygale launched her first Isolation a-long. For the last year, Abeygale and Lily have been running free workshops, free Facebook live sessions, sales and wild Wednesday deals all from their home studio.
2020 saw the business go from strength the strength with more and more people taking up, rediscovering or continuing a love for sewing.
Abeygale's main aim is to spread her love of sewing, and creating, with anyone that wants to join in!

Even if you don’t want to make the particular project Abeygale is demonstrating yourself, you will still benefit from the techniques and tips you will learn; she is an excellent tutor.
